In the 8th minute Mario Bonadona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Shantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Domeka having to interfere. When Jorge Rik came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Zaparinqui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Rik couldn't finish the play. If Mario Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the match, Zaparinqui FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Bonadona came free, but Guillermo Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, El Momo Pajin FC's Adolfo Domeka got control of the ball when Vladimiro Lorenz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zaparinqui FC's Evelio Luar got a free kick in the 36th minute. 43 minutes into the game, El Momo Pajin FC's Mario Bonadona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Shantala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Adolfo Domeka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Orlandus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Zaparinqui FC's protests and gave Evelio Luar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zaparinqui FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Evelio Luar hit a great ball. Mario Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th play minute Faustino Gomesano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guillermo Shantala. 0-2. Adolfo Domeka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Lorenz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Guillermo Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Bonadona in the 92nd minute of the match. Jorge Rik's late challenge caught a El Momo Pajin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Rik helped the player get up and apologised. Gregorio Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Shantala having to interfere.
