Tobias Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Petrigai in the 19th minute of play. If Arnulfo Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Moises Petrigai notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Popoy AFC's Tobias Vigil. Tobias Vigil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jimeno Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Gar got free with Danilo Licerio in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jimeno Eztebe to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, C.A.FENIX's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Eztebe came free, but Danilo Licerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Popoy AFC's Marcelo Gar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Eztebe in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Licerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnulfo Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Popoy AFC fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Popoy AFC's Jimeno Eztebe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 78 minutes into the game, Cleto Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Popoy AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.FENIX the free kick. The supporters of C.A.FENIX booed when Popoy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Fonda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Leonides Ordono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danilo Licerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Gar's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Eztebe in the 89th minute of play forced C.A.FENIX's goalkeeper Danilo Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.A.FENIX's Danilo Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Eztebe in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. C.A.FENIX had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
