A collision led to PES Parana getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tobias Dacio hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes, Deportivo Santa Fé's Albino Jerano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ceferino Nafarroa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Santa Fé reached it. With a little luck, Deportivo Santa Fé's Luis Vitin got control of the ball when Orlando Fero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Santa Fé's Luis Vitin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Santa Fé from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Nesto in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Nafarroa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the PES Parana defense, Santo Nesto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ceferino Nafarroa. The PES Parana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ceferino Nafarroa should have stopped the shot. Francisco Urdin hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hugo Eate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deportivo Santa Fé's Hugo Eate got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Santo Nesto put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ceferino Nafarroa. Rodolfo Leocadio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luis Vitin. Deportivo Santa Fé's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Clodio in the 38th minute of play forced Deportivo Santa Fé's goalkeeper Luis Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernardo Tadzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Nesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Albino Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Santa Fé's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Jerano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Nafarroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Santo Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 52 minutes, Jacobo Lucero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Santa Fé and the PES Parana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Santa Fé's Jacobo Lucero got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes, PES Parana's Francisco Urdin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luis Vitin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Ceferino Nafarroa was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Jacobo Lucero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacobo Lucero really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Deportivo Santa Fé's Bernardo Tadzio got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Bernardo Tadzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Santa Fé's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Tadzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Nafarroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With splendid footwork Santo Nesto arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 77th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Bernardo Tadzio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ceferino Nafarroa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Albino Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Nesto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Deportivo Santa Fé's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Deportivo Santa Fé getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Maximino Fliz hit a great ball. Rodolfo Leocadio kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Santo Nesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Nafarroa having to interfere. When Albino Jerano came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Deportivo Santa Fé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Jerano couldn't finish the play. Ceferino Nafarroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Nesto in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Deportivo Santa Fé could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PES Parana throughout the match.
