The referee ignored Defensores Gauchos's protests and gave Humberto Turi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Defensores Gauchos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Humberto Turi hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes, Amanao's Epifanio Inautzi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benigno Miliano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amanao reached it. 21 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Gudesteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benigno Miliano. Defensores Gauchos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Gudesteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Tiburcio Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Arnoldo Gudesteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Amanao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Avellaneda helped the player get up and apologised. Teodoro Avellaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Gudesteo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Miliano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Chayo in the 41st minute of play forced Defensores Gauchos's goalkeeper Benigno Miliano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes, Tobias Guillem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores Gauchos and the Amanao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnoldo Gudesteo to strike the kick off in the second half. Benigno Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Amanao's Epifanio Inautzi tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Behe in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Hartz saved Amanao from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Defensores Gauchos's goalkeeper Benigno Miliano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiburcio Chayo. Benigno Miliano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Gudesteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, Defensores Gauchos's Benigno Miliano got control of the ball when Tiburcio Chayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnoldo Gudesteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Guillem, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
