The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lorenzo Toribio charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Toribio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, one of Lomitas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lomitas. Robustiano Brion had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Benito Ubendu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bruno Pacho struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Hernan Ticho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lomitas. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alberto Caetano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lomitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Caetano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Ticho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bruno Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Ticho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Caetano in the 48th minute of the match.

Robustiano Brion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Domiku, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Caetano in the 58th minute of play forced Gramilla's goalkeeper Hernan Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Lomitas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gramilla throughout the match.
