To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the match, Ampallo's Alonzo Txatxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Paz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Lino Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Federigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Paz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Ferreyra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lino Federigo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sixto Paz had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Alonzo Txatxu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Sixto Paz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Txatxu in the 23rd minute of the match. Ampallo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Federigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lino Federigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Solustiano in the 44th minute of play forced Ampallo's goalkeeper Celestino Lander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alonzo Txatxu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Paulo Eriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Paz having to interfere. The supporters of Ampallo booed when Ferreyra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Eriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ferreyra's Braulio Umea got a free kick in the 75th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Ampallo's Eduardo Norino tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sixto Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Alonzo Txatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lino Federigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Federigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Paz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Eriz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo Eriz hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Lino Federigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Paz having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ampallo fully deserved thier win.
