When Sunset FC's Maximino Ler in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sunset FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Ler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hector Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Suripugio AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Santiago Botello hit a great ball. When Eustaquio Maurino fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suripugio AFC's protests and gave Eustaquio Maurino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Suripugio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Maurino to maneuver through the defense. Maximino Ler might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Placido Gar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Ler ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Sunset FC's Hector Frasco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Gar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Sunset FC's Ambrosio Sandalio got control of the ball when Carmelo Eutropio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Hector Frasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Gar. Suripugio AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Frasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Placido Gar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Ler, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Frasco made a kick off. Maximino Ler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 58 minutes, Delmar Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suripugio AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When David Rufio fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suripugio AFC's protests and gave David Rufio a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Suripugio AFC! In the 71st minute, Amadeo Lauro made a precise shot to the right of Ambrosio Sandalio. Sunset FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 77 played minutes Suripugio AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Maurino. In the 80th match minute, Sunset FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Ler to maneuver through the defense. When Cristo Theodore fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunset FC's protests and gave Cristo Theodore a yellow card for diving instead. Cristo Theodore hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Hector Frasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Gar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Damaso Garikoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Eutropio in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ambrosio Sandalio saved Sunset FC from getting behind. Sunset FC's Ambrosio Sandalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Eutropio in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sunset FC's zone, Carmelo Eutropio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Sandalio came out of the goal and Carmelo Eutropio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Sandalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Santos in the 101st minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sunset FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
