But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Tulio couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, La Cantera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Gelmiro came free, but Luciano Aurken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Carmelo Tulio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Gelmiro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Aurken saved La Cantera FC from getting behind. If Ceferino Gelmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnaldo Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Leobardo in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of La Cantera FC booed when Vipos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Marz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Tulio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Aurken having to interfere. Carmelo Tulio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Luciano Aurken when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Cantera FC's goalkeeper Luciano Aurken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luciano Aurken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Carmelo Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vipos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
