Victor Llorenc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genaro Vitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cortines AFC's zone, Aristides Bembe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Ugutz came out of the goal and Aristides Bembe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Llorenc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Garikoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Clodoveo Garikoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Genaro Vitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Llorenc was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Victor Llorenc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Garikoitz in the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Santos defense, Clodoveo Garikoitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Llorenc. The Santos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Llorenc should have stopped the shot. After the first half Cortines AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aristides Bembe made the kick off in the second half. Victor Llorenc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Vitin's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Luciano Ugutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Bembe in the 58th minute of the match. Genaro Vitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Llorenc having to interfere. Santos's Victor Llorenc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Santos from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Victor Llorenc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Clodoveo Garikoitz scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Llorenc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Genaro Vitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Llorenc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Leoiar during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cortines AFC booed when Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Leoiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enzo Xabel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Ugutz having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Clodoveo Garikoitz took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Victor Llorenc to make any attempt to save it. 0-5 became the score in the 85th minute when Genaro Vitin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Genaro Vitin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Genaro Vitin came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Cortines AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Vitin couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Genaro Vitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Llorenc was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. 98 minutes into the game, Marcelo Oto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cortines AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos the free kick. The supporters of Santos booed when Cortines AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Cortines AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Santos throughout the match.
