When Santo Chale came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ombucto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Chale couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Defensores de Avellaneda's goalkeeper Godofredo Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernan Handi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Chale in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Lixandro saved Defensores de Avellaneda from getting behind. Leopoldo Argina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerardo Sengrat's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Santo Chale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lázaro Beltza in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godofredo Lixandro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Ombucto's zone, Manuel Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Argina came out of the goal and Manuel Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
