The supporters of Lagunilla booed when OK Computer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Jayvier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Gorosti, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Donato Brion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicanor Lastur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ivan Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Gaufred having to interfere. Nicanor Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Brion in the 54th minute of play. Donato Brion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicanor Lastur having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Ivan Caetano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Federico Silviano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Braulio Gaufred. Lagunilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Silviano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched OK Computer eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
