Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Conrado Kepa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Nicolas Fero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Fero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Kepa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Rogelio Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Kepa having to interfere. After 24 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Fresco. Rogelio Caetano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Conrado Kepa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos FC. Nicolas Fero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ladislao Fresco hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Nicolas Fero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 38 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Conrado Kepa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Fero. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ladislao Fresco hit a great ball. In the 40th of the match, Rogelio Caetano tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Conrado Kepa got in the way and made a wonderful save. Rogelio Caetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Conrado Kepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Fresco made a kick off. Conrado Kepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Fero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Conrado Kepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Fero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Kepa was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Rogelio Caetano struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Conrado Kepa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Fero in the 66th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Conrado Kepa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rogelio Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. INDEPENDIENTE's Ladislao Fresco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Diablos FC booed when INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Senon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruperto Lohitzun was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rogelio Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Kepa having to interfere. Conrado Kepa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Fero, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Rogelio Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Rolando Kusko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Kepa. INDEPENDIENTE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolando Kusko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
