When Celedonio Luzea came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Monteros AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Luzea couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Donato Lluc dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Simon Romelio, 3-0. Simon Romelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Luzea in the 25th minute. Simon Romelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Nuxila's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Elvira FC's zone, Roberto Mercurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The audience was convinced that Celedonio Luzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Romelio was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Celedonio Luzea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Romelio. Elvira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Luzea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
