Carceleros's Humberto Santxol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Soter in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Tibia y Peroné's Damaso Soter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Santxol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Mon in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Santxol saved Carceleros from getting behind. In the 35th minute Mario Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Santxol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Soter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Carceleros's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Soter came free, but Humberto Santxol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Aires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Mon couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute Damaso Soter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Damaso Soter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damaso Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Santxol having to interfere. Carceleros's Humberto Santxol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Carceleros from getting a goal against them. Damaso Soter struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Humberto Santxol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tibia y Peroné. Humberto Santxol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Soter in the 93rd minute of play. Tibia y Peroné's Damaso Soter got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Tibia y Peroné supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tibia y Peroné would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
