The supporters of Argentinos de América booed when Ciénega AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Jordy took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Pudes. Jose Pudes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 12th minute, Cleto Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15thth minute of the game Maximiliano Jordy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciénega AFC's Jose Pudes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Domingo Gombal fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos de América's protests and gave Domingo Gombal a yellow card for diving instead. Maximiliano Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Pudes having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Maximiliano Jordy fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jose Pudes, passed just outside the right post. Benicio Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes, Agustin Thomas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argentinos de América and the Ciénega AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 80 played minutes Ciénega AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Javiar. Felix Burutzagi's late challenge caught a Ciénega AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Burutzagi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Argentinos de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Burutzagi to maneuver through the defense. If Leo Farias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Pudes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Argentinos de América fully deserved thier win.
