Maipú's Ruben Iturri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Maipú from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute Melquiades Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Severiano Efren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maipú's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fernuqui the free kick. Ruben Iturri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melquiades Fliz's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Ruben Iturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Fliz in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Maipú's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Normando came free, but Ruben Iturri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fernuqui's Denis Incendio got a free kick in the 75th minute. The supporters of Maipú booed when Fernuqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Jaunti didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Abechuco struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Benedicto Polo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maipú. 81 minutes into the match, Fernuqui's Melquiades Fliz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Iturri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristo Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Cristo Normando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fernuqui's Jacobo Caetano got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ruben Iturri came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Fernuqui's Jacobo Caetano. But to his dismay, Jacobo Caetano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-5. Jacobo Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Iturri having to interfere. The Maipú fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fernuqui were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
