But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Lalla couldn't finish the play. Jacobo Dei might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Thomas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Dei ran back to his position shaking his head. 77 minutes into the match, Anderson FC's goalkeeper Horacio Thomas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Lalla. Hurlingham Social Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
