Higinio Orlandus started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Margarita AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Gentza came free, but Diego Urdaspal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Denis Argenis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Blas Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Hermengildo Iturri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Orlandus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Margarita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Joseph. After having played for 16 minutes, Filomeno Gentza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3°'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Gentza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvestre Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Orlandus in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermengildo Iturri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Margarita AFC's Diego Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Gentza in the 28th minute of play. Hermengildo Iturri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Orlandus, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Silvestre Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Iturri having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Higinio Orlandus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Margarita AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3° the free kick. Higinio Orlandus kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Silvestre Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Iturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Orlandus in the 46th minute of play. The MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3° players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Margarita AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filomeno Gentza to strike the kick off in the second half. When Denis Argenis, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 51 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Diego Urdaspal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Victorino Lugo's late challenge caught a Margarita AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Lugo helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg Hermengildo Iturri managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Margarita AFC's Silvestre Fernandez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hermengildo Iturri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Maiorga's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Silvestre Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Iturri having to interfere. The supporters of Margarita AFC booed when MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3° was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Felipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Benito Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margarita AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3°'s Hermengildo Iturri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3° from getting a goal against them. Margarita AFC's Higinio Orlandus was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 82nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 87th minute, Silvestre Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Margarita AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When Silvestre Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Margarita AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Fernandez couldn't finish the play. The Margarita AFC fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Margarita AFC's Higinio Orlandus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvestre Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Iturri made a huge save. The MONTEGRANDE FC Y VA EL 3° fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Margarita AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
