The supporters of Boca Juniors FC booed when Nirihau AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Dayam having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Laurentzi in the 17th minute of play forced Boca Juniors FC's goalkeeper Angel Dayam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Umea in the 29th minute of play forced Nirihau AFC's goalkeeper Raul Acuña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, David Hodei fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Angel Dayam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Eron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boca Juniors FC's Cristian Umea got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joel Ieltxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Melchor Eron made the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Dayam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Eron, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Joel Ieltxu hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Boca Juniors FC's Severiano Illart tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raul Acuña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Umea in the 69th minute of play. After 74 played minutes, Nirihau AFC's Justino Burni shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angel Dayam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nirihau AFC reached it. After having played for 76 minutes, David Hodei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Hodei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute David Hodei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Acuña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match Pascual Oliviero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Acuña skillfully saved the ball. Raul Acuña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Oliveiro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Melchor Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Dayam having to interfere. Nirihau AFC's Raul Acuña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Umea in the 92nd minute of play. David Hodei struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Raul Acuña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors FC. David Hodei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raul Acuña read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Nirihau AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nirihau AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
