The Lagunillas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rafael Presebal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Paulino Ponce's late challenge caught a Lagunillas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulino Ponce helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lagunillas AFC booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Presebal in the 41st minute of the match. Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lagunillas AFC the free kick. The Mercedes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lagunillas AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haroldo Jerico was the one to do the kick off. Jeronimo Hotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lagunillas AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
