In the 18th minute Eriberto Frasquito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Silvano Urko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreros Xeneizes FC the free kick. After 23 played minutes Puna got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Urko. When Eriberto Frasquito came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Guerreros Xeneizes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Frasquito couldn't finish the play. If Eriberto Frasquito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Guerreros Xeneizes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Ler came free, but Amador Ostargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Puna's Laureano Ler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amador Ostargi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amador Ostargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Ler in the 44th minute of play. Laureano Marcones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Ostargi having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Laureano Ler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Eriberto Frasquito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guerreros Xeneizes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Amador Ostargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Ler in the 70th minute of play. Laureano Marcones scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amador Ostargi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th match minute, Guerreros Xeneizes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Montxo to maneuver through the defense. Laureano Marcones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Laureano Ler dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amador Ostargi, 1-3. Amador Ostargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Puna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Puna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
