The referee ignored Gonnet's protests and gave Victorio Lawrence a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gonnet getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Victorio Lawrence hit a great ball. The supporters of Gonnet booed when Shaolin Soccet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Chinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Tohias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Froilan Demesio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shaolin Soccet FC's Julian Cordarrol. Julian Cordarrol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
