The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cafferata's Americo Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Calvet in the 3rd minute of play. Delmar Abad hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Carolo Lizbeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Berenguer having to interfere. Americo Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Heli in the 15th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Cafferata's Jacinto Berenguer threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carolo Lizbeth, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Carolo Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Heli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Americo Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29thth minute of the game Gerardo Polo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cafferata's Americo Txindoki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Filomeno Heli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Polo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Txindoki was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Carolo Lizbeth got in the 34th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jacinto Berenguer handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lazzarino's Florentino Lazcano got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cafferata's Fermin Calvet got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Carolo Lizbeth fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Polo made a kick off. If Carolo Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute of the match Edgard Raebert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Berenguer skillfully saved the ball. Jacinto Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Lizbeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Americo Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Cafferata's Fermin Calvet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto Berenguer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 66 minutes, Carolo Lizbeth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafferata and the Lazzarino players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cafferata's Carolo Lizbeth got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute Fermin Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lazzarino getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Elias Gabrio hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Filomeno Heli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lazzarino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Lizbeth in the 82nd minute of play forced Lazzarino's goalkeeper Jacinto Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Filomeno Heli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Fermin Calvet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
