Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Higinio Atarrabi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rivadavia's Desiderio Olayo got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genaro Hodei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Irrintzi's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Faustino Irrintzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rivadavia's Elvio Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Atarrabi in the 20th minute of play. Camilo Kemen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Hodei having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Irrintzi in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genaro Hodei saved Espirillos from getting behind. Faustino Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Hodei having to interfere. Espirillos's Genaro Hodei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Irrintzi in the 32nd minute of play. Faustino Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Hodei having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Kemen in the 39th minute of play forced Espirillos's goalkeeper Genaro Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Espirillos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Severiano Rey shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Camilo Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rivadavia's Camilo Kemen got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Irrintzi was the one to do the kick off. Faustino Irrintzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Kemen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Genaro Hodei made a huge save. After 59 minutes of play, Espirillos's Raul Havier made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Francho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eugenio Phelipe kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Espirillos booed when Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Olayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Raul Havier came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Espirillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Havier couldn't finish the play. Camilo Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Faustino Irrintzi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A hard shot 86 in the game by Camilo Kemen from a close distance when the talented Genaro Hodei managed to make a qualified save. Espirillos's players were relieved. With his leg Genaro Hodei managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Rivadavia's Camilo Kemen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Camilo Kemen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivadavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Kemen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Hodei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Faustino Irrintzi came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Irrintzi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Espirillos getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Inocencio Onbera hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 98th minute, but Genaro Hodei got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Espirillos hanging dry this time. Many of Rivadavia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Rivadavia may have spent more time on the ball, but Espirillos were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
