When Eustacio Librado came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ceres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Librado couldn't finish the play. After 23 played minutes Ceres got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Librado. Placido Sandaili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rosario's Dionisio Jordy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Sandaili in the 35th minute of play. Dionisio Jordy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Librado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Pedroso's late challenge caught a Ceres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. Abelardo Pedroso hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Amancio Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Fidele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Eder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustacio Librado to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Eustacio Librado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 minutes of play, Ceres's Placido Sandaili made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dionisio Jordy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dionisio Jordy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Sandaili in the 68th minute. Eustacio Librado struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dionisio Jordy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceres. 71 minutes into the game, one of Rosario:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dionisio Jordy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustacio Librado's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Rosario's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Librado came free, but Dionisio Jordy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Sandaili struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Dionisio Jordy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceres. Ceres's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
