Wilfredo Martxelin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Mogel in the 17th minute of the match. Wilfredo Martxelin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Lico in the 19th minute. When Gilberto Lico came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Barrancas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Lico couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Canor in the 41st minute of play forced EL TANO's goalkeeper Wilfredo Martxelin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Lico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Wilfredo Martxelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nereo Mogel made the kick off in the second half. Hilario Colon struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Gilberto Lico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Martxelin having to interfere. Wilfredo Martxelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Lixandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Lixandro during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barrancas's Florentino Lixandro got a free kick in the 69th minute. Wilfredo Martxelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Gilberto Lico notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of EL TANO's Wilfredo Martxelin. Wilfredo Martxelin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Barrancas booed when EL TANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Euloxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. EL TANO's Wilfredo Martxelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Lico in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Gilberto Lico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Martxelin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
