Aldo Etor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Víboras's Aristides Cuartio got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Aldo Etor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serafino Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ignazio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea's zone, Aldo Etor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Ignazio came out of the goal and Aldo Etor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Serafino Gaitan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfonso Ignazio, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Víboras getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Aristides Cuartio hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Aurelio Senio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Ignazio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Serafino Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Gaitan scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfonso Ignazio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute Aldo Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Ignazio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Serafino Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Aldo Etor made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, Víboras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Ebardo to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Elodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Etor came free, but Alfonso Ignazio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víboras's Aldo Etor got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Etor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfonso Ignazio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Etor in the 80th minute of play. If Serafino Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Ignazio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Etor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Etor in the 87th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Alfonso Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafino Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ignazio having to interfere. Serafino Gaitan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Ignazio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
