The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Desmochado booed when Ostende AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Tiso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Desmochado's Salvador Eate in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ostende AFC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Ostende AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Francisco Solustiano hit a great ball. Francisco Solustiano charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Solustiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cipriano Panpili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Eate in the 28th minute of play. Ostende AFC's Cipriano Panpili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Eate in the 29th minute of play. If Salvador Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Desmochado getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Zeledon Louis hit a great ball. Silvestre Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Rivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Eate in the 40th minute of play forced Ostende AFC's goalkeeper Cipriano Panpili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Salvador Eate came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Desmochado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Eate couldn't finish the play. Cristo Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Panpili having to interfere. Francisco Solustiano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Cipriano Panpili didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Eate went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Ostende AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Desmochado were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Rivero made a kick off. Salvador Eate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Salvador Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cipriano Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes in the game, Salvador Eate fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cipriano Panpili having to interfere. Salvador Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cipriano Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Xabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Sindo in the 77th minute of the match. When Salvador Eate came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Desmochado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Eate couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Desmochado's Cristo Bihar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cipriano Panpili. That made the score 0-2 after 83 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ostende AFC's zone, Salvador Eate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Panpili came out of the goal and Salvador Eate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Rivero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 99 minutes into the game, Ostende AFC's Juan Rivero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvestre Xabel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Desmochado played a much better game than Ostende AFC and deserved their victory. The Ostende AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
