The crowd rose to their feet as Cleto Maureo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Dalmu. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cleto Maureo made the kick off in the second half. Armando Errolan took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eloy Dalmu. Eloy Dalmu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 62nd match minute, Chiba 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Pagomari to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Gergori. Cleto Maureo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eloy Dalmu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Cecilio Pagomari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Dalmu. RIVER PLATE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Pagomari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The Chiba 22 fans cheered their team off the field, for while RIVER PLATE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
