In the 26th minute, Conrado Bittor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pascual Silban struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gogo Caetano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deheza. Ciro Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Caetano having to interfere. Gogo Caetano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Melagro's zone, Ciro Heriberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Caetano came out of the goal and Ciro Heriberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciro Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andres Savion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Etxeberri having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fidel Gorosti to make the kick off. After 72 played minutes Melagro got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Tino. Hipolito Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Gorosti in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Savion in the 90th minute of play forced Deheza's goalkeeper Hipolito Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Deheza players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Melagro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
