He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gualeguay FC reached it. In the 14th minute Tomás Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vladimiro Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristo Navarro's late challenge caught a Gualeguay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Gualeguay FC's zone, Roque Eliazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Egoitz came out of the goal and Roque Eliazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Arotza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Arotza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Agustin Egoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustin Egoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Arotza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Tristan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vladimiro Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Tristan in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barcelona FC's Oscar Arotza suffered a sore thigh after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Senen during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Gualeguay FC got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Senen. Guido Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Eliazar was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gualeguay FC's Ubaldo Bittor broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 55th minute, Gualeguay FC's Tomás Tristan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimiro Garcia. Vladimiro Garcia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The supporters of Gualeguay FC booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Udalaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vladimiro Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Tristan might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Tristan ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Tristan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Garcia made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Guido Martxel sent off a good shot on target. Barcelona FC's Vladimiro Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona FC from getting a goal against them. Antonio Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Egoitz having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match Gavino Pitin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimiro Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute of the match, Tomás Tristan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vladimiro Garcia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Barcelona FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Roque Eliazar hit a great ball. Guido Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Martxel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Garcia made a huge save. Gualeguay FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
