The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute of the match Angelo Hermon shot from a long distance. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pardo FC's Justo Acuña in the 10th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Haroldo Eguerdi was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Agrelo FC through an amazing save. Justo Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Melchor Florin came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Agrelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Florin couldn't finish the play. Efrain Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Basilio Magdaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Zeledon Quinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agrelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pardo FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Agrelo FC's Zeledon Quinton got a free kick in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Pardo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Beat came free, but Basilio Magdaleno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Agrelo FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Guaberto Laffitte hit a great ball. Justo Acuña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justo Acuña to make the kick off. If Justo Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pardo FC's Paulino Dalmu got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Melchor Florin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Eguerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Dalmu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Haroldo Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Acuña in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justo Acuña in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haroldo Eguerdi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Agrelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Acuña came free, but Haroldo Eguerdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchor Florin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Basilio Magdaleno made a huge save. After 78 played minutes, Pardo FC's Benicio Maule shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haroldo Eguerdi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pardo FC reached it. The supporters of Pardo FC booed when Agrelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Quinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Acuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Haroldo Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pardo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Agrelo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
