In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Linch's goalkeeper Gerardo Feliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Gerardo Feliu managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Rodeo's Alfredo Laurin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 23 minutes into the game, Rene Isaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodeo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linch the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Rodeo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Linch:s goal. Silvio Nayely had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Carlos Rafe's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Carlos Rafe took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Nayely. Silvio Nayely dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ciriaco Dantel struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gerardo Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodeo. 43 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Piorno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Nayely. Rodeo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Piorno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Silvio Nayely made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Andres Hotz sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Rodeo's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Abascal came free, but Silvio Nayely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd play minute Andres Hotz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silvio Nayely. 0-5. Silvio Nayely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Abascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Eustacio Abascal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linch's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Abascal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Nayely breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alfredo Laurin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rodeo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Laurin couldn't finish the play. If Ciriaco Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Laurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rodeo's Gervasio Casomiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. A hard shot by Carlos Rafe from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Silvio Nayely's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gerardo Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Dantel in the 85th minute of play. Ciriaco Dantel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Linch's Vicente Markel got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 91 minutes, Felix Frutos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linch and the Rodeo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felix Frutos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Rodeo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Linch's performance. The match ended with a win for Linch.
