Sportivo Alem's Augusto Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Porfiro in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Arnaldo Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Alem's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Felipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 38thth minute of the game Basilio Euloxu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportivo Alem's Augusto Herrera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Herrera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio Euloxu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Esteve Micael ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Augusto Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Porfiro in the 44th minute of the match. Augusto Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The Sportivo Alem players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lincoln were winning 0-1.

The audience was convinced that Cristobal Porfiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Herrera was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Basilio Euloxu put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Augusto Herrera. Cristobal Porfiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 minutes of play Sportivo Alem's Bartolo Bide was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bartolo Bide hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Cristobal Porfiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Lincoln's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Micael couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Basilio Euloxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lincoln's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Euloxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lincoln played a much better game than Sportivo Alem and deserved their victory. The Sportivo Alem players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
