After a rather tough play, Trejos's Paolo Romano got a free kick in the 14th minute. Edelmiro Juvenal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Garaile in the 17th minute of play forced Trejos's goalkeeper Celestino Balesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Paolo Romano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rastrojos AFC's Luisito Lastur got control of the ball when Paolo Romano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rastrojos AFC's Luisito Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Oliveiro in the 46th minute of play. Paolo Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Lastur having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudio Rocio to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Baltasar Formerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trejos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rastrojos AFC the free kick. After 51 played minutes Trejos got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Formerio. If Paolo Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisito Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Oliveiro in the 58th minute of play. If Celestino Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rastrojos AFC defense, Celestino Oliveiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Lastur. The Rastrojos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Lastur should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celestino Oliveiro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Lastur saved Rastrojos AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rastrojos AFC's Edelmiro Juvenal got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Celestino Oliveiro came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Trejos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Oliveiro couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Trejos fully deserved thier win.
