After 22 played minutes Laborde AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Lluques. Laborde AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Angelino Florin 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Domingos Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laborde AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Ubendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cienaguita FC's Aureliano Oxel got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jorge Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mauro Vergaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siro Cresencio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Mauro Vergaray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Lluques's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Mauro Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Cordera in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Lluques made a kick off. If Jorge Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Vergaray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Lluques's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Laborde AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Florin came free, but Feliberto Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Vergaray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Cordera in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, one of Laborde AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Laborde AFC. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Cienaguita FC. Aureliano Oxel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Feliberto Ranolfo. 2-1. Cienaguita FC's Mauro Vergaray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Cienaguita FC from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Cienaguita FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ladislao Lluques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cienaguita FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Mauro Vergaray went to the wrong direction when Paolo Lauren was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 85 played minutes Cienaguita FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Jago. In the 85th minute of the match Paolo Lauren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Vergaray showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jorge Cordera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 101 minutes into the game, Angelino Florin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Feliberto Ranolfo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cienaguita FC could leave the field as winners, despite Laborde AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
