Evelio Dorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Martinez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes, Patricio Mitxaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Layiyidechacho and the Quirós AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Mitxaut kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Patricio Mitxaut was shown his second yellow card after 7 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 8th match minute, Layiyidechacho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Mitxaut to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Marco Ferdinand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Goito. Quirós AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco Ferdinand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Emiliano Clodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Marco Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Emiliano Clodio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guillermo Martinez. Emiliano Clodio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Quirós AFC's Evelio Dorio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Evelio Dorio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Guillermo Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Dorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Layiyidechacho's Marco Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Carlos Enekoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quirós AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Layiyidechacho the free kick. A collision led to Quirós AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. The long shot by Domingos Firmin in the 65th minute really tested Anier Goito's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cirilo Gorbea kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Emiliano Clodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Marco Ferdinand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaac Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Goito having to interfere. Marco Ferdinand who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Anier Goito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 74th match minute, Quirós AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Gorbea to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Marco Ferdinand could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Anier Goito however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Quirós AFC booed when Layiyidechacho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Cisco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Dorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Dorio in the 84th minute of play forced Layiyidechacho's goalkeeper Guillermo Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quirós AFC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Layiyidechacho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celso Peruxu took the corner. Quirós AFC's Celso Peruxu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Guillermo Martinez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Emiliano Clodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Quirós AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Layiyidechacho's performance. The match ended with a win for Layiyidechacho.
