Isaac Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Iraido having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Llin in the 23rd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Delmiro Iraido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Iraido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Llin's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Generoso Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Osoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Colas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Osoitz in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Colas saved Targaryen Sportyng Club from getting behind. With a little luck, Targaryen Sportyng Club's Humberto Colas got control of the ball when Niceto Sindo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osvaldo Txaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Delmiro Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Generoso Osoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 91st minute, Osvaldo Txaran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmiro Iraido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Targaryen Sportyng Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Targaryen Sportyng Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
