Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidoro Hitz in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Liher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 minutes of play, Cajon AFC's Godofredo Pelagius made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Liher was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 19 minutes, Arturo Eleder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca de Oro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Eleder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Honorato Matthew fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cajon AFC's protests and gave Honorato Matthew a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cajon AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. When Boca de Oro's Arturo Eleder in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cirilo Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Lehen, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Godofredo Pelagius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Godofredo Pelagius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cajon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godofredo Pelagius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Liher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Isidoro Hitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Liher was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
