The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Rosetti booed when Pampas XV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Leguizamón didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Ugaitz took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angel Chaime. Angel Chaime dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Teofilo Cedro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Rosetti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Menendo to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosetti's goalkeeper Apolo Garaona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angel Chaime showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Gutierrez in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Rosetti's Apolo Garaona got control of the ball when Anacleto Cordero tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Vicente Gutierrez came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Rosetti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Gutierrez couldn't finish the play. Rosetti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Uriel Hodei scored to the left of an out of position Apolo Garaona, making the score, 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Rosetti's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Hodei came free, but Apolo Garaona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Jerrold stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Narciso Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pampas XV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Monte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hernan Jerrold came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pampas XV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Jerrold couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Narciso Monte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pampas XV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Angel Chaime showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Ugaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Pampas XV's Narciso Monte got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Herminio Ugaitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pampas XV's Angel Chaime was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rosetti were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Pampas XV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Uriel Cucao took the corner. The corner ended in Uriel Cucao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pampas XV's Angel Chaime did a great save. Anacleto Cordero hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Cucao in the 78th minute of play forced Pampas XV's goalkeeper Angel Chaime to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosetti's Apolo Garaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Cordero in the 84th minute of play. Cristian Menendo lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 88th minute, Cristian Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Leguizamón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herminio Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pampas XV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
