Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hermengildo Misael made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Dario Derwin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justino Dalmau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 7th minute Dario Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Dalmau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moises Eskuin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Silviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Abar having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Pablo Ignado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Diablos Rojos's Justino Dalmau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Lapurdi in the 23rd minute of play. Moises Inge was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A hard shot 26 in the game by Hermengildo Misael from a close distance when the talented Artemio Abar managed to make a qualified save. Franklin AFC's players were relieved. Marcelino Silviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Misael's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Artemio Abar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 36 minutes into the game, Virgilio Lapurdi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Franklin AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Diablos Rojos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Franklin AFC's Virgilio Lapurdi got a free kick in the 36th minute. Hermengildo Misael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Abar having to interfere. After the first half Franklin AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Lapurdi to make the kick off. Artemio Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Misael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Franklin AFC's zone, Hermengildo Misael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Abar came out of the goal and Hermengildo Misael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Hermengildo Misael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Higinio Karmel kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Hermengildo Misael took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artemio Abar. Artemio Abar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 68th minute Moises Eskuin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hermengildo Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Abar came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Diablos Rojos's Amancio Hats. But to his dismay, Amancio Hats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Artemio Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Silviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amancio Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Eskuin struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Artemio Abar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Diablos Rojos. After having played for 88 minutes, Moises Eskuin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Eskuin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Franklin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Eskuin came free, but Artemio Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Hernan Acosta got a free kick in the 97th minute. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
