Saul Ubendu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Anibal Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carmensa's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Ulizes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justo Urdin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in desVirtusPro's zone, Nunez Gizon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Urdin came out of the goal and Nunez Gizon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nunez Gizon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. desVirtusPro's Justo Urdin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save desVirtusPro from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Carmensa's Mauro Atauri got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute of the match Hermengildo Artal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saul Ubendu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Anibal Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Ubendu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Ubendu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Anibal Palban notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Carmensa's Saul Ubendu. Saul Ubendu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Severo Sanchez made the kick off in the second half. Javier Cidro's late challenge caught a desVirtusPro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Anibal Ulizes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
