Candido Magdaleno guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vinicio Donzel hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Pedro Loco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Candido Magdaleno. Yaví's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benigno Orlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes Yaví got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Ibañez. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Candido Magdaleno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Victorio Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremias Cucao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benigno Orlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candido Magdaleno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Orlin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th match minute, Yaví was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Cucao to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Los pibes were awarded a corner. Pedro Loco went to the cornerflag to take it. Yaví's Candido Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Harriet in the 95th minute of play. The Yaví fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Los pibes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
