Spectators: 6649 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pablo Veremundo kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Liniers booed when Baireslet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Federico Arnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Arnas in the 9th minute of play forced Liniers's goalkeeper Everardo Tomi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Danilo Nabar came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Liniers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Nabar couldn't finish the play. Fernan Tallia charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernan Tallia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Berbiz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liniers's Ruben Berbiz got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Ruben Berbiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Gonzales was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some careless play in the Baireslet defense, Lorenzo Gergori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Gonzales. The Baireslet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Gonzales should have stopped the shot. Liniers's Everardo Tomi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Arnas in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liniers's goalkeeper Everardo Tomi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celedonio Gonzales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Veremundo in the 30th minute of play. Ruben Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Celedonio Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Gonzales was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Pablo Veremundo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Veremundo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Arnas in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Tomi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liniers's goalkeeper Everardo Tomi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Federico Arnas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Jakue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Everardo Tomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Arnas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Baireslet's zone, Ruben Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Gonzales came out of the goal and Ruben Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 53 minutes, Jose Hermon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baireslet and the Liniers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Baireslet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Hermon to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Gergori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Liniers's Pablo Veremundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celedonio Gonzales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Lorenzo Gergori kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ruben Berbiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celedonio Gonzales was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Federico Arnas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Everardo Tomi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baireslet. Federico Arnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Tomi having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Jeremias Lesardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baireslet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Lesardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Federico Arnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Tomi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Arnas ran back to his position shaking his head. Federico Arnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Tomi having to interfere. Federico Arnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everardo Tomi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Arnas ran back to his position shaking his head. The Liniers support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
