The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgard Haitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Dalström having to interfere. Artemio Quirce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Quirce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Oskar Dalström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Fidencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Ritchie having to make a save. In the 19th match minute, Ceibalito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Corderro to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Natalio Fidencio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Ritchie. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Celestino Illart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Ritchie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgard Haitz struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Oskar Dalström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaparro FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Illart got free with Rodolfo Ritchie in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natalio Fidencio in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Ritchie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Chaparro FC's zone, Celestino Illart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Ritchie came out of the goal and Celestino Illart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chaparro FC's Rodolfo Ritchie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Chaparro FC from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Fidencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Chaparro FC's Roman Avellaneda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roman Avellaneda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chaparro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roman Avellaneda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Chaparro FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ceibalito AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Rodolfo Ritchie, was totally fooled by Ceibalito AFC's Silvestre Abreu, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Haitz to make the kick off. When Natalio Fidencio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ceibalito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Fidencio couldn't finish the play. Natalio Fidencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rodolfo Ritchie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Natalio Fidencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Ritchie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Osvaldo Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaparro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Rodriguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Osvaldo Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaparro FC's protests and gave Osvaldo Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Rodriguez hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Celestino Illart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltasar Tancredo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Damian Abadia charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Abadia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Chaparro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Abadia to maneuver through the defense. If Celestino Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Fidencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Celestino Illart made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Ritchie. Chaparro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Chaparro FC's Rodolfo Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Illart in the 97th minute of play. Rodolfo Ritchie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Illart, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ceibalito AFC had won after a very even match.
