Lorenzo Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sanson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Lorenzo Berbiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noqueces's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Berbiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Sanson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Sanson having to interfere. Rogelio Gorbea hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match Alejandro Blasco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Matteo skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laureano Calisto in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorio Matteo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Lorenzo Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Sanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Laureano Calisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gregorio Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geronimo Oalo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Matteo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Calisto got free with Gregorio Matteo in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 minutes Noqueces's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alejandro Blasco who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alejandro Blasco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gregorio Matteo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Geronimo Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gregorio Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Berart kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Lorenzo Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Berbiz in the 72nd minute of play forced Gallegos's goalkeeper Marcos Sanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinicio Barrionuevo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Sanson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Barrionuevo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lorenzo Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Calisto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregorio Matteo came out and tried to block the shot, but Laureano Calisto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 75th minute. Lorenzo Berbiz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Marcos Sanson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noqueces. Vinicio Barrionuevo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Marcos Sanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Cordaryal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gallegos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Oriche was slow to take the kick. During this time Noqueces's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Noqueces's corner Ernesto Bilbo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Sanson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 96th minute, Lorenzo Berbiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Noqueces manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gallegos to win.
