After 33 minutes of play, Garayalde's Marco Tancredo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Txomin was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Guerrero getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bernardino Cordarius hit a great ball. Garayalde were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Guerrero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adan Corderall took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Garayalde's zone, Luis Osorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desiderio Estebe came out of the goal and Luis Osorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Tancredo made a kick off. Marco Tancredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Txomin having to interfere. After 63rd play minutes Saul Conrao shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Ernesto Txomin and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guerrero's zone, Saul Conrao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Txomin came out of the goal and Saul Conrao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Guerrero's Ernesto Txomin got control of the ball when Saul Conrao tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Pascual Jago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garayalde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerrero the free kick. A collision led to Garayalde getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pascual Jago hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Tancredo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Txomin. That made the score 1-3 in the 73 minute of play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Saul Conrao from a close distance when the talented Ernesto Txomin managed to make a qualified save. Guerrero's players were relieved. When Garayalde's Marco Tancredo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guerrero's goalie prevented a goal. Saul Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute of the match Carolo Handi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Txomin skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle sounded Garayalde left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guerrero.
