Orlando Mattin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Guañizul's Nicasio Olayo got control of the ball when Israel Monte tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montecarlo AFC's zone, Alvaro Cordera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Mattin came out of the goal and Alvaro Cordera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Mattin came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Guañizul's Evelio Abajas. But to his dismay, Evelio Abajas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alvaro Cordera took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Mattin. Orlando Mattin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Samuel Emeterio made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Galoer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orlando Mattin. Montecarlo AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 56 minutes, Fidel Cordara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guañizul and the Montecarlo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guañizul getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fidel Cordara hit a great ball. Orlando Mattin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alvaro Cordera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Montecarlo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Abascal to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Abascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Cordera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Mattin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Orlando Mattin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Guañizul's Alvaro Cordera got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Abajas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Guañizul's Alvaro Cordera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Mattin narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
