After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Freddy Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C BARRACAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Aurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Luix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Cleto Chabier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Froilan Rubio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, A.C BARRACAS's Teo Senen got a free kick in the 11th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Paulo Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atahona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Ciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Ciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Froilan Rubio having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Paulo Ciano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Froilan Rubio. A.C BARRACAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Ciano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Lisandro Pitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atahona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C BARRACAS the free kick. Lisandro Pitin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Teo Senen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimeno Luix showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severino Frantzes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Ciano took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Froilan Rubio. Froilan Rubio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 37th match minute, A.C BARRACAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Omero to maneuver through the defense. After 40 minutes A.C BARRACAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cleto Chabier who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Atahona's Cleto Chabier to fire away a dangerous shot which Froilan Rubio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Atahona booed when A.C BARRACAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Frantzes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Rubio having to interfere. Freddy Aurre's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jimeno Luix firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 45th minute, Amado Burni fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 46th minute Amado Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Luix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Ciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Froilan Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Ciano in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in A.C BARRACAS's zone, Severino Frantzes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Rubio came out of the goal and Severino Frantzes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Froilan Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Ciano in the 63rd minute of the match. If Paulo Ciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Frantzes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Amado Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Luix having to interfere. Froilan Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Ciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th match minute, A.C BARRACAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Omero to maneuver through the defense. A.C BARRACAS's Freddy Aurre got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Pitin in the 93rd minute of play forced A.C BARRACAS's goalkeeper Froilan Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th match minute, A.C BARRACAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Omero to maneuver through the defense.
