With a little luck, Irene AFC's Evaristo Basualdo got control of the ball when Blas Nataniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 8 minutes, Rigoberto Bide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irene AFC and the Taribos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Irene AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rigoberto Bide hit a great ball. Irene AFC's Saverio Goyo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute of the match Celedonio Chuse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Xabier skillfully saved the ball. Taribos's Faustino Iruinea got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Maximiliano Lapurdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Taribos's zone, Maximiliano Lapurdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Xabier came out of the goal and Maximiliano Lapurdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximiliano Lapurdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Xabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Goyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Modesto Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Lapurdi was the one to do the kick off. Faustino Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Basualdo having to interfere. Blas Nataniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Evaristo Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Irene AFC got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Chuse. Faustino Iruinea struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Evaristo Basualdo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taribos. In the 61st match minute, Irene AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Marino to maneuver through the defense. Taribos's Blas Nataniel got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Iruinea in the 65th minute of play forced Irene AFC's goalkeeper Evaristo Basualdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Irene AFC's Marcial Txomin got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Blas Nataniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taribos's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Nataniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Taribos's Faustino Iruinea pulled a muscle in his back after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Irene AFC! Fernando Rolado placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Rodolfo Xabier came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Irene AFC's German Bartolome. But to his dismay, German Bartolome quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rodolfo Xabier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Lapurdi in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Irene AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. German Bartolome hit a great ball. Taribos's Rodolfo Xabier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Taribos from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Taribos's zone, Saverio Goyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Xabier came out of the goal and Saverio Goyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Maximiliano Lapurdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Blas Nataniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Irene AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
